Students who intend to pursue schooling in the United States are often required to take the SSAT or SAT. Regulated by the Enrollment Management Association in the United States, the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) is a standardized measure that helps professionals from independent schools make admission decisions for students in Grades 3 to 11. A similar standardized test, the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is designed to assess student readiness for postsecondary education.

Canada Star Secondary School offers classes for students wishing to take the SSAT or SAT. Knowledgeable teachers coach students on test format, test content, and test-taking strategies.  Students who enroll in the SSAT and SAT classes typically sign up for weekly classes that tackle the three strands of the test: mathematics, critical reading, and writing. They meet with their teachers for two hours three times per week, and take a monthly mock SAT exam to check their progress. The demanding program ensures that students are amply prepared to meet their goals.
